Inside Leiko

A clinical instrument and a calm interpreter.

The watch reads. The app understands. Together they replace guesswork with a daily pulse you can act on with your doctor.

The instrument.

Leiko's smartwatch uses an inflating micro-cuff — the same oscillometric method as the cuff at your doctor's office, shrunk to wrist scale. Most smartwatches that claim "blood pressure" estimate it optically from your pulse. Leiko measures it.

BLOOD PRESSURE

The number your doctor cares about, captured the way your doctor captures it.

Blood pressure tells you the force your blood is pushing against your artery walls. It's the single most important indicator for understanding heart and stroke risk. Leiko reads it with a real inflating cuff — not by guessing from your pulse. That matters because optical estimation drifts when you're warm, stressed, or moving. A real cuff doesn't.

Take a reading whenever you want, or first thing in the morning before coffee — most people see their truest baseline before the day starts.

HEART RATE

The pulse of how rested, recovered, and steady you really are.

Your resting heart rate — the rate your heart beats when you're calm and still — is one of the most honest signals your body sends. Leiko captures it continuously and learns your personal baseline over your first two weeks. When something pulls it away from your normal — a poor night's sleep, a stressful week, a developing illness — Leiko notices.

A higher-than-baseline resting heart rate that lasts three days or more is worth mentioning to your doctor.

BLOOD OXYGEN

The metric most worth watching while you sleep.

SpO2 is the percentage of your blood carrying oxygen. Most adults at rest sit between 95 and 100%. Leiko samples it through the day and tracks your overnight low — a signal that can hint at breathing irregularities during sleep.

If your overnight low dips below 88% for three or more nights, Leiko surfaces it gently and recommends talking to your doctor. It does not diagnose anything.

SLEEP

Not just how long you slept — how the night actually went.

Leiko tracks the four stages of sleep — light, deep, REM, and the awake moments in between — and gives you a single 0-to-100 score that captures total time, depth, continuity, and efficiency. Sleep is the most under-measured vital. It's also one of the most actionable.

Why we care: poor sleep correlates with elevated morning blood pressure. Leiko shows you that connection over time, in plain language.

ACTIVITY

Movement that matters, framed without the noise.

Steps and calories, against a goal you set. No streaks. No achievement badges. No "level up" notifications. Walking matters because it correlates with lower resting heart rate and gentler morning numbers — the watch shows you that, calmly, without nagging.

Set a goal that's right for you. Hit it most days. That's the whole game.

How Leiko thinks

The intelligence is the product.

Most health apps show you data. Leiko reads the data and writes you a sentence about it — every day, every reading, every week, every month.

One calm sentence, every morning.

When you open the app, Leiko has already read the last 24 hours of your watch's readings and written you one sentence. It's the answer to the question you opened the app to ask. No dashboard to interpret. No alarms to dismiss. Just: how are you, this morning, in plain words.

Leiko

"You slept 7h 24m, your morning blood pressure is in pattern, and your resting heart rate is two below your week."

The patterns no single number can show.

Every night, Leiko compares your last 30 days of vitals to find the patterns most worth knowing. Sleep with morning BP. Activity with resting heart rate. Overnight oxygen with sleep quality. When a correlation reaches statistical confidence — Pearson r ≥ 0.3, 14+ paired observations, p < 0.05 — it shows up in your app, in plain language. When it doesn't, Leiko stays quiet. No noise.

Leiko

"On nights you slept under 6 hours, your morning blood pressure averaged 8 points higher than on full-sleep nights."

A full paragraph on Sunday. A baseline on the first.

Every Sunday evening, Leiko writes a four-to-six-sentence summary of your week and pushes it to your phone. Every month, a longer baseline arrives — what's normal for you — which then becomes context for the daily sentences going forward. The longer Leiko knows you, the more personal the language becomes.

Leiko

"This week, the person you care for was in pattern. Their morning BP averaged 124/79 across six readings — three points below their four-week average. Their sleep was lighter on Tuesday and Wednesday, and their morning numbers those days were six points higher — these often go together. Their resting heart rate held steady around 64. Have a good week."

Bring data, not anecdotes.

When it's time for your appointment, tap "Share with your doctor." Leiko generates a clinical-tone PDF that summarises your last 30 / 90 / 365 days — averages, classification breakdown, anomalous readings, cross-vital observations. Premium typography, clean tables, no charts that look like they came from a budget spreadsheet.

Email it to your doctor before the visit. Print it and bring it. Save it for your records. The PDF is yours.
